The Story starts out with a typical couple having dinner as their son is playing not far from the dinner table. The couple include the female lead, Shirley and her husband, George. George does not seem to be fulfilling his role as a husband and Shirley is very much annoyed with him. To add to this, George wants to go off to the capital because it's his "destiny" to become a hero and ofc, Shirley shoots down his hopes for this. After comforting her son, Brandon, George sneaks away and only leaves a note for Shirley to find. Shirley decides to take care of her own son after his father abandoned him. George comes back a couple years later with a different hairdo and has come to fetch them. It turns out the reasoning behind him coming back was because he spread a false tale about him and his wife to make it look like they have tragic love story. Him bringing her and their son to the capital is to show off how strong their "love" still is. Shirley only agrees to come with him for Brandon's sake and that George has to agree to a divorce after the death of the count he was sponsored by. Along the way he criticizes his wife for her choice of clothing. His haughtiness continues even after reaching the capital. Shirley finds out that George is nothing but a pet to the count. He's such a pick me guy! In the capital she met the second son of the count who also despises George. The second son also seems to be taken with Shirley despite her being married and with a child. 

My opinion: I really like this manhwa. It's a breath of fresh air. We have a married female lead and she also has a son. Her husband is such a douchebag for abandoning them and he has no redeeming qualities. All he does is kiss up to the nobles. His head is so no far up the count's butt. I'm liking our male lead though. He's the second son of the count and he can't be heir because the first son is the heir plus the second son acquired his last name from his mother and not father. From what I can see from the Manhwa, his father does not treat him well. He's taken interest in Shirley and even suggested an affair. He's hilarious 🤣. I look forward to the joy the next chapters are going to bring.
